Alabama women's tennis signs Alex Clay of Grayson

Clay is a Blue Chip recruit from Grayson, Ga. She is ranked No. 2 in the state of Georgia and No. 8 overall in the Southeast Region for the Class of 2010. She also is currently the 20th-ranked player nationally in the Class of 2010. Clay has an overall junior record of 58-17, including an 18-6 record against five-star recruits. She claimed the Girls' 18 Singles Draw of the 2009 USTA National Opens in Tallahassee, Fla. Clay trains at the Tennis Academy of the South under private coaches Gery and Jeff Groslimond.
